Thoughts: My Mom’s Visitation

Well, I am so amazed by the kindness of my friends at Unisys who dropped by tonight at my mom’s visitation. Thank you, Deb Russell for coming by (totally unexpected – it was so very good to see you again – a few minutes after you left, the rest of the Unisys gang dropped by, I’m sorry you missed them).

A big thank you (so much) to Tina Gondoly Goocher, for bringing my very good friend, former co-worker, and all-around nicest man, Bob Billheimer from Toledo – I hadn’t seen him in 13 years, and thank you for contacting Rob Voigt and his wife, it was so good to see my former boss and mentor again. And, thank you Robert Babas for coming as well (I still plan on seeing your Lionel O-scale model railroad layout someday soon).

It was nice to see everybody after so many years. Last but not least, thank you, Steve Lynch, for also coming, and bringing your wife and daughter, it was nice to meet them. Your dad was a very nice man, helping my mother as best as he could in his later years – a nice neighbor for the 50+ years they lived a few houses apart. LMN, you, of course, are the best.
