True (Lame Brain) story [My Life is average!]

My kitchen table has had a set of “items” for me to mail out for more than a few weeks now. I finally broke down and bought some padded envelopes to stuff the things in. While stuffing them, I used my iPad’s whitepages.com app to look up the various addresses needed.

I noticed that one of them felt a bit heavier than the rest, but didn’t give it another thought at the time.

Took them to the P.O., and used that wonderful machine (the APC kiosk) that I helped write the parts ordering software for, and sent them on their merry way, off to the various places they needed to go. Then went and did some other errands, etc.

Finally got home, and did a few things, before sitting down to pick up the iPad to see what was going on in the world.

Hhmm, no iPad on the end table in the LR. Hhmm, no iPad in the kitchen, nor the bedroom. By now, someone is getting awfully worried that he may have accidentally put it in one of the padded envelopes (one of them did feel a bit overweight).

Now, he’s thinking: Did I somehow put the iPad into one of those envelopes? How dumb can you be, Brian?? How the heck am I going to get the P.O. to give my packages back?? I run around the house, looking all over, going from room to room, almost swearing up a storm.

Walk back into the LR, and on a chair, there it sits, just looking at me, very innocently, as if to say: “what, were you looking for little old me? I was sitting here all the time you were shouting…”
