Signing your life away – Your signature

So.

I’m at Cub Foods (the local grocery store), and the person (gender being withheld to protect the innocent) ahead of me is paying their bill via credit/debit card, and it’s time for them to sign their life away on the pin pad device/screen thingamabob. I see them sign their full name, with beginning capital letters, and their middle initial, and then crossing their T’s and dotting every last one of their bloody I’s.

Am I the only one that scribbles their name (or just my bloody initials) on the screen or am I just one of the stupid few that isn’t very security conscious about his (illegible, chicken scratch) signature and everyone else (of the non-stupid variety) still signs their full name in fully readable cursive writing on pin pads, or restaurant receipts, etc.?

Just curious.
