Video plagiarism – part 1

Jamie is someone that I sometimes view, since she usually has a few inspiring/motivating thoughts, etc. She recently learned that there was a person who apparently also watches Jamie’s videos but then made her own “videos” using Jamie’s words – word for word. Watch this short video, you’ll first see Jamie speak for a few seconds, then you’ll see this other person, saying the exact same words, including Jamie’s mannerisms. And it goes on for several phases.

Interesting (that someone would even think about doing this), wacky (that they then went ahead and did it – according to Jamie, this other person has copied ten of her “talks”), and, lastly, who does this type of thing (what motivates them?)

I wonder whether video bloggers can “copyright” their videos, if so, how do you then go about protecting your IP (intellectual property), once you learn its been stolen? And, who was the resources ($$) to sue them?

[Scratching my head on this – gotta make sure no one is stealing any stuff from the videos that Lailah and I’ve produced at the AV Children’s Playhouse/Play-Doh/Painting theater!]
