Books/movies – watch movie, read book or via versa?

True story time.

I “found” a new sample book on my kindle the other day. Obviously I downloaded it myself, but don’t remember when nor why, since I didn’t recognize the title.

Started to read the sample, got to the end of it and felt the book was worth spending ten bucks on it, and bought the full version about a week ago.

Went back to the kindle store and learned a new movie is coming out based on it – which is probably the reason I’d downloaded the sample; I obviously saw the movie preview (but don’t remember it).

Before I tell you the name of book/movie, I wanted to share a few things:

  1. The few chapters I’ve read so far reminds me of “Gone Girl”.

  2. According to my kindle, I’ve so far read the first 20% of the book, the last day or two.

  3. I’ve figured out who the villain is (I think).

  4. Which leads me into the everlasting quandary that book and movie lovers always “enjoy”: do we postpone seeing the movie, because we don’t want to ruin our reading enjoyment of the book, but knowing by doing that, it will ruin the movie for us, OR, do we go see the movie, and ruin the rest of the book?

I’ve decided not to share the name of the book, since I do not want to bias you by my comments, but will share it via PM if you are truly interested. Or, you can guess by leaving a comment – although others may read your comment, and might be irked…lol
