So, you know how FB informs you of your friends birthdays? Today, it told me that a former colleague will be celebrating his b-day in a couple of days. Being “curious”, I went to his FB “about” page to find out how old this gentleman is, and I found something which rang home with me, his email address is

Over the last few yrs, he’s posted a number of pics of his granddaughter, and, I’ll say this, I’ve enjoyed “watching” her grow up via his eyes (photos). He’s always so proud of her.
Methinks I need to follow his example and get me a new email address. Although, by the time The Little Girl gets good at reading and writing, I think email will have become passé, for kids of Lailah’s age. Hopefully not, though. I would love to get emails (or texts) from her when she becomes a teenage or goes off to college.
Not wanting to intrude on his privacy in such a public forum, I won’t call him out here, but Happy Birthday, to you, and I truly hope you have a bunch more.
