Rainstorm, umbrellas, etc.

Sometime last week (Wednesday?) we had a huge rainstorm as I was leaving the office. Fortunately, I had my umbrella in my backpack, no big deal, for the four city block walk to the bus stop.

Except, it wasn’t just a rainstorm, it was also a windstorm, and by the time I got to the bus stop I was soaked, and in addition, the wind had broken my umbrella 💨🌬💨😱😱

Now a smart person would have gone and bought a replacement umbrella over this past weekend.

Not me.

This morning, it’s raining, as I sit here on the bus, going into the office.

Fortunately, the bus stop is right next to a skyway entrance and I’ll be able to get to the office unscathed by the rain, hopefully.

Personally, I think the transit company should have a magical supply of umbrellas in each bus so that the bus driver can hand them out, with a smile on their face, saying “enjoy your day, Brian” as he hands me my own very special extra large umbrella.

Jus sayin’
